HAIR RESTORATION

Microneedling & PRP

A clinically driven combination approach using platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and scalp microneedling treatments to stimulate dormant hair follicles, encourage new growth, and improve hair density, using your body's own regenerative biology.

How does it work?

Hair thinning and loss are often caused by miniaturization of hair follicles, a process where follicles gradually shrink and produce finer, shorter strands before ceasing growth altogether. This combination treatment targets that process at the follicular level.

PRP delivers a concentrated dose of growth factors directly into the scalp, while microneedling creates controlled microchannels that both trigger the skin’s natural repair response and enhance absorption of the PRP into deeper tissue layers. Together, they create an environment that supports follicle reactivation and healthier hair cycling.

Treatment 1: Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

Derived from your own blood by centrifugation, PRP concentrates platelets and growth factors, including PDGF, VEGF, and IGF-, which signal follicle stem cells to enter the active (anagen) growth phase.

Treatment 2: Scalp Microneedling

Fine needles create micro-injuries in the scalp dermis, stimulating collagen production, increasing blood flow to follicles, and improving penetration of PRP for enhanced efficacy.

Who Is It For?

This treatment is suitable for both men and women experiencing early-to-moderate hair thinning or loss. It is most effective for androgenetic alopecia (pattern hair loss) and may also benefit diffuse thinning, stress-related shedding (telogen effluvium), and mild alopecia areata.

Best results are typically seen in patients with active but miniaturized follicles. A clinician assessment will confirm whether this treatment is appropriate for your hair loss pattern and stage.

Potential Benefits

Reduced Shedding

Growth factors help stabilize the hair cycle, reducing excessive daily shedding over a course of treatments.

Improved Hair Density

Reactivation of dormant follicles can increase the number of visible, actively growing hairs.

Stronger, Thicker Strands

Follicle revitalization may increase the caliber and strength of individual hair shafts over time.

Scalp Health

Microneedling improves scalp circulation and collagen support around the dermal papilla, the follicle’s nutrient hub.

Natural Approach

PRP is derived entirely from your own blood, with no synthetic drugs or foreign substances introduced to the scalp.

Complementary to other treatments

Can be combined with Xtresse (our recomended approach), minoxidil, finasteride, or low-level laser therapy for a comprehensive restoration strategy.

Frequently asked Questions

How soon will I see results?

Initial improvements in shedding and scalp health are often noticed after 2–3 sessions. Visible increases in density typically emerge at 3–6 months, as the hair growth cycle takes time to reflect follicular changes.

Most protocols involve 3–4 initial sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, followed by maintenance treatments every 3–6 months. Your clinician will tailor the plan to your response and goals.

Topical anaesthetic is applied before treatment to minimize discomfort. Most patients report mild pressure or tingling during the procedure. Sensitivity varies by individual.

Results are not permanent, hair loss is an ongoing biological process. Maintenance sessions help sustain gains. Lifestyle factors such as nutrition, stress, and hormonal changes also affect longevity.

Yes, combination with evidence-based medical therapies is commonly recommended and may enhance overall outcomes. Discuss your current regimen with your clinician.

Downtime is minimal. Scalp redness and sensitivity typically resolve within 1–2 days. Strenuous exercise, swimming, and direct sun exposure should be avoided for 24–48 hours post-treatment.

PRP and microneedling work best where follicles are still present but dormant or miniaturized. Areas with complete follicle loss (fully bald for many years) are unlikely to respond. A clinician assessment will determine suitability.
